[Check_mk (english)] Check MK doesn't notice NTP time source/peer absence using chronyc

This may be a bug, but I don't see it in werks or known bugs. Check MK (1.4.0p34) does not appear to notice when RHEL 7 hosts cannot reach their time sources or peers. The agent uses 'chronyc tracking', but seems to be ignoring the "Ref time (UTC)" in the output. This time shows when this host was last in contact with its time source.
I have hosts currently blocked (due to a firewall config issue) and those on RHEL 6 and Ubuntu are properly identified by Check MK as having NTP time problems, but no report for RHEL 7 hosts affected. I have confirmed on the RHEL 7 hosts using chronyc tracking and chronyc sources commands that these hosts have not been in touch with their time sources for over 24 hours.
That should be reported!

Has anyone else seen this?
