Hello Team,

I am looking for IPMI / IDRAC disk monitoring along with RAID status. Is
there any way to monitor these checks on WATO.
Current OMD version is 1.31.20160602
Check_mk: 1.2.6.p12
https://mathias-kettner.de/checkmk_check_dell_idrac_disks.html

I have found through documentation but i don't have any clue how to enable
checks

I send a message to the mailing list about this yesterday

I believe this is broken.

that what you should do:

enable snmp in the idrac

configure in wato a host using the idrac ip and use snmp as agent

but check_mk is not able to discover anything.. running check_mk in debug mode it queries oid not existing in the mib of the idracs.

I hope someone will answer.

Hi Pradeep,

I had the same problem with our VRTX blade chassis a while ago. The OID that is checked by CMK for the disks doesn't exist on our VRTX. I browsed the vendor supplied MIB for any information about disks, but couldn't find anything except trap definitions (which are not usable for active checks). To me it looks like HP doesn't provide any way to check the disk status via SNMP for at least some devices.

We have given up on this, but you can ask your vendor which SNMP OIDs to use for this and build a custom check (https://mathias-kettner.de/checkmk_devel_snmpbased.html) or pay Mathias Kettner to do this.

Kind Regards,
