Hi,

I have setup a host to poll this new check, configure a rule to enable it and have placed the powershell script in the plugin directory on the host plus upgraded the agent to the latest 64bit agent. When I perform a poll the service shows 6 items found, the output of cmk -d HOST shows a lot more information being gathered yet in WATO i`m only seeing memory in the inventory view. Any ideas why i`m missing lots of info?

Regards,

It is possible that the output of "mk_inventory" plugin was transmitted at
the first manual tests. Then the next transmit will happen after some hours.
On your Windows machine you can remove the timestamp file and make another
test.
If there is data transmitted you should find one bigger file inside
<sitename>/var/check_mk/persisted if you use OMD or
/var/lib/check_mk/persisted if installed standalone.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi,

We are also seeing this issue on a RHEL 7.0 host. Using mk_inventory from the command line results in a great deal of information (although for some reason not all SW packages are listed), but the HW is not complete. In the views it says "8 items discovered" but will only show me memory details. Nothing about CPU etc. I would have expected interfaces listed, hard drives, CPU model, etc.

On top of this, if I then run "cmk -i -f", then mk_inventory will return nothing, and stays that way. Obviously I have misunderstood what that command does, but according to the information I can find, I would expect it to force a new inventory, and not wipe any trace of what happened before.

Thanks for any attention
