[Check_mk (english)] esx_vsphere_sensors: Exclude/Ignore one specific sensor

Hi,

Wonder if there is a possibility to exclude/ignore the sensor that checks
the battery on a raid controller. I'm aware that this could be "fixed" on
vSphere/ESXi side, but for now i need to do it this way.

Version: 1.2.7i2p2

Thanks,
Aleksandar

Hi Aleksandar,

"WATO -> Host & service parameters -> Monitoring Configuration -> Disabled
services" should do what you need. Don't forget to reinventorize afterwards.

Regards,
Marcel

Hi Marcel,

Thanks, but this also disables checks for all sensors
under esx_vsphere_sensors, right?
My idea is to ignore just the one sensor that takes care of the battery
status on the raid controller.

Aleksandar

Hi Aleksandar,

i.e. if you have a HP Gen9 Server with that annoying HPSA1 battery error do this (the battery is fine, the problem is somewhere else
):

WATO -> Host & Service Parameters -> Hostsystem sensor alerts
Sensor name: Battery on HPSA1
Custom states: set to OK
Explicit hosts: select your ESXi Server

Mit freundlichen GrÌßen / Best regards
