Greetings all -
On my Check_MK instance, I have several hosts set up to only notify during normal business hours (M-F, 8a-5p).
However, I am seeing that services on these hosts are notifying 24/7 (ping, filesystem, memory, etc).
I assumed that a host's services would inherit the same notification settings as its parent host unless explicitly overridden. This is logical, but does not seem like the behavior the system exhibits.
Curious as to how this is supposed to work - as I didn't really find documentation that made it clear to me. If the system is behaving correctly, is there a way to configure the system so that services inherit their notifications from their host? I see how this can be done with rules, but I've got several hundred hosts in my instance so this would take some time.
Thanks!!
Caio
