Hi guys.
According to check_mk, the server is fine regarding XFS mounts / disks, but:
I cannot create files (input / output error) inside those mounts

Why is check_mk not getting the issue?
Is this considered on a newer version?

Thanks!

Hello guys.

Any news on this? Today happened again.

No errors according CMK.
Does 1.4.0 monitor XFS with detail?

Thanks!

Hi Gerardo,

what is the exact issue? Any errors outside CMK?

BR,
Marcel

The agent shows everything OK, but i cannot touch inside a XFS mount, due
to IO error.

Check_mk does not have the intelligence to check that filesystem?

Thanks!

No, because that would require the agent to touch a file in all the
filesystems monitored. This is a no go.

You can monitor the mount options of the filesystems. The kernel should
remount filesystem read-only if errors are encountered. This would make
the "Mount" check go into CRITICAL.

Or you could monitor the kernel log (with logwatch or event console) and
catch messages the kernel emits when the filesystem goes bad.
