Hi

We are trying to add the URL link for an alert as part of the email body.
We have changed the template in WATO under Global settings but it seems
that the variable gets ignored. We are trying to use the $SERVICELINK$
variable as that was listed as part of the "Information to be displayed in
the email body" "Complete variable list( for testing)" tick box.

So are our Operations people will get an email for an alert and then will
click on the link back to the Check_MK web page in order to see the current
status.

This is what the Email Body section looks like in WATO's Global Settings:

Service: $SERVICEDESC$
URL: $SERVICELINK$
Contact : $CONTACTALIAS$
State: $LASTSERVICESTATE$ -> $SERVICESTATE$ ($NOTIFICATIONTYPE$)
Command: $SERVICECHECKCOMMAND$
Output: $SERVICEOUTPUT$
Perfdata: $SERVICEPERFDATA$
$LONGSERVICEOUTPUT$

Thank you

Hi Willem,

the global setting just applies to legacy notification (if flexible
notification is not used). You can find the notification scripts in
"~/share/check_mk/notifications/" (OMD, standalone varies). In OMD simply
copy the script in question to ~/local/share/check_mk/notifications/ and
change it there. In standalone installations I think you have to change the
original.

HTH,
Marcel
