Hello,

We have setup a new noc within Azure using Cent OS. By default ping is disabled in azure and wanted to make sure ping isn't needed when a Parent site is checking if a child site is alive or dead. Surly if a parent can't ping it will still consider a child to be alive if it can communicate over 6557?

Thanks,

I think that is correct. The site connection config will need a status host
which is used to determine slave site reach ability though, but perhaps you
can trick it and just use local host. One way to find out for sure is to
test it.
